The Orchid Isle Dog Agility Club was founded in October 2006, and is located on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii. We are a non-profit organization with the primary goal of having fun with our dogs, and we welcome new members as active participants in the sport of dog agility, as well as supporting members who just enjoy watching!
Our goals are to work with other local dog agility clubs to further the sport on the Big Island. The club offers dog agility classes, fun matches and sanctioned agility trials to interested participants. We also do demos at local events. The fast action of dog agility makes it fun for both participants and spectators, with entertainment provided by the dogs, which don’t always follow directions!
The Club welcomes dogs of all breeds, mixed as well as purebred. Handlers are welcome at all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced, including junior handlers from age 12 and up.
Our Mission
Through the sport of dog agility:
1) To promote fun and healthy recreational activity for dogs and their owners.
2) To promote responsible dog ownership and the development of working partnerships between dogs and their owners.
